The weather up here in Minnesota has been very weird. 50 degrees in February??? Well, we just HAD to take advantage of that! We got 11 trucks together and 1 plane and headed out to do some damage! Finally! Schedules, weather, and the planets have aligned in perfect harmony and we were able to get some decent bashing in this winter! Hopefully this isn't the last time. This is our 2nd racing video of this season. Again, we were up at Fisk Hobby Farm, and again the weather wasn't so great. Actually, it was decent for most of the day, but bookended with rain at the beginning and end, and the storm at the end was a doozy! I'm sure I'm not the only one with some rusty tools! It turns out that the Savage is not indestructible! In fact, it only took a few minutes to eff it up this time. I'm not exactly sure why it effing happened, but I suspect I loosened things up when I landed upside down, then really effed it on the next jump when I over-rotated the effing backflip - again! SlapMaFro is also proud to make it's on-road debut with a short video of our twin Novas bashing around on the road. DoesGo and I hit an R/C track near where he lives. It's a huge, rip-roaring, massive, second-gear-hitting-speed off-road track! Yeah, we did a few laps, but that quickly degenerated to seeing how far we could fly off the big jump! Then I put a set of Jumbo Kongs on the Savage and attempted backflips until it broke. Awesome! Recently DoesGo and I took a road trip out to Michigan. We didn't leave our Savages behind! In fact, we stopped in Indiana on the shores of Lake Michigan to do some bashing, as well as Dirt Burners in Michigan to run on their track! It was a very hot weekend and we generally felt more like sipping cool drinks in the shade rather than sweating with hot nitro engines, but we did manage to get some bashing in! I was finally able to clear the coop with my Savage, thanks to the awesome power of the Picco .26!!! We also had a little racing on the track, which is coming along nicely. This video takes place at the BMX track in our area. It was a very rough day. My Savage wouldn't start because the pull starter broke on my second pull. The NMT broke a shock (fixed on site) and stripped a spur gear. The other Savage busted a shock and fuel tank after about 5 minutes of running, but he got some good jumps in though! The RC10GT busted the battery box and destroyed a battery pack. The Ofna buggy was nothing but trouble and doesn't even appear in the vid.
